Rental Program

At Matera, we believe luxury should be accessible and flexible. Our curated collection of designer pieces is available for rental, allowing you to enjoy exceptional style without long-term commitment. 

We currently are only allowing 1 time rentals - we do not have a subscription plan at this time.

Rental rates are based on a percentage of the retail value:

• 1 Week Rental: 20% of retail price
• 2 Week Rental: 30% of retail price  

Example: A handbag with a retail price of $1,000 would rent for: 1 week → $200 & 2 weeks → $300.

What’s Included:

• Access to luxury designer items at a fraction of retail price.
• Flexibility with 1-2 week rentals.
• Professional cleaning between rentals.
• Carefully packaged shipping to and from your doorstep.
   

Booking & Payment:

• Rentals must be booked online in advance.
• The rental period begins the day after the item is shipped from our location.
• Extensions are available upon request and subject to availability. Extended rentals will be billed at the standard 1 week rental rate unless previously agreed upon.
• High-value items may require a refundable security deposit to cover accidental damage or loss.

Care & Usage:

• Rented items must be worn responsibly and handled with care.
• Avoid exposure to harsh conditions (e.g., rain, chemicals, excessive heat).
• Do not alter or remove tags or labels.
• Customers are responsible for light care only.
• Damage beyond normal wear may incur additional charges.

Shipping & Returns:

• Standard USPS Priority Flat Rate shipping is NOT included in the rental fee (approximately $15).
• All items will be bundled whenever possible but multiple items may result in higher shipping fees.
• Items must be returned in their original packaging by the end of the rental period.
• Items must be returned on time; late returns are accepted up to 3 days and incur a daily late fee of $30/day. 
• Items not received to our location by the 4th day past the rental period will result in a forfeiture of the security deposit plus full value price.
• Items are eligible for a full refund if cancelled prior to shipping.
